🔥 Beginning of Agnihotra Revival
- The first
modern Agnihotra was performed on 22 February 1963 in Bairagarh
Kala village near Bhopal.
- It was
initiated under the guidance of Madhavji Sahib, with Shri Hiralal
Sharma as the first practitioner.
- The
two-offering Agnihotra method began from here and continues to this day.
Founder: Madhavji Potdar Sahib
Madhav Ashram is the karmabhoomi (field of work) of Madhavji Potdar sahab.
- He was born
in Vidisha and originally belonged to Sagar, Madhya Pradesh.
- He dedicated
his life to reviving and spreading Agnihotra for the benefit of humanity.
- After his nirvana
(passing) in 1974, a SAMADHI (samadhi
shrine) was established at the Ashram, which remains a place of deep श्रद्धा (reverence)
for followers.
Expansion of the Movement
- In 1968,
Madhavji sahab began structured training programs to spread
Agnihotra.
- These
trainings included discipline, communication, method explanation, and the
significance of Agnihotra and its ash.
- In 1974, Shri
Vasant Paranjpe took this knowledge to the United States, marking the
beginning of its global spread.
- Today,
Agnihotra is practiced in many countries, and its revival traces back to
